FNQ Interschool Chess Championships Report Round 2 2016

Over 276 students competed in the second round of the Far North Queensland Interschool Chess Championships on the 2 June.

The focus, determination, perseverance and enthusiasm of our team was easily recognisable at the tournament. We are proud of the good sportsmanship shown by our team members whether they win or lose.

Highlights are listed below:

Primary Premier Grade (8 teams with 32 players)

Team Results

First TAS WRJ Bosel: Jackson Bosel, Xavier Martin, Jasper Stone and Andrew Robertson

Third TAS WRJ Paino: Raphael Paino, Holly Brislan, Ryan O’Keefe and Robin Grace

Individual Results

First Place Jackson Bosel

 

Primary A Grade (14 teams with 54 players)

Team Results

First TAS WRJ Thomson: Marcus Carruthers, Ethan Lewis, Jason Jhonly and Kano Thomson
