TAS Academic Scholarships are awarded each year for excellence in academic achievement for entry into Year 7 to 12.
Value
The maximum scholarship value will be 100% remission of current tuition fees, and the minimum value is 50% remission on current tuition fees. Academic Scholarships are offered at the Principal’s discretion for the full period of a students’ time at school, subject to the recipient maintaining high academic performance – that is, within the top 10% of their cohort.
Selection criteria
In the first instance, recipients are selected based on percentile results of an independent examination conducted by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Other forms of academic assessment and/or school grades may be used to determine whether a scholarship is offered.

2024 Exam date to be announced in late 2023. Typically, the annual ACER Exam on campus at TAS, in February.
TAS Music Scholarships are awarded to students with exceptional musical aptitude and interest. Applications are open to students in Year’s 5 to 11.
Value
The maximum scholarship value will be 100% remission of current tuition fees. Music Scholarships are offered at the discretion of the Principal for the full period of a student’s time at the school, subject to the recipient demonstrating an outstanding level of musical ability, maintaining academic performance within the top 30% of their cohort, and remaining committed to the schools’ co-curricular Music program.
Selection Criteria
An audition is conducted by the Director of Music and recipients are selected based on academic and music achievement at the required level.

Applications are accepted and assessed year-round for external students, entering Years 7 to 12. Principal’s Opportunity Scholarships are means-tested. This means that applicants are required to provide financial information to the school.
Applicants must complete:
a) a Scholarship Application form
b) a Principal’s Opportunity Application Package. To receive a copy of the Principal’s Opportunity Application Package, please email your completed Scholarship Application to executiveassistant@tas.qld.edu.au
- Second child – 15% remission of tuition fees
- Third child – 30% remission of tuition fees
- Fourth child – 50% remission of tuition fees
- Fifth and subsequent children – 100% remission of tuition fees
To apply, students should name siblings on their application form when enrolling.
