Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Education or appropriate tertiary/teaching qualification
  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT);
  • A current First Aid Certificate in an Education and Care environment (or willingness to obtain)
  • A CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • An Early Childhood qualification and experience with Nature-Based Learning (would be an advantage).

  • develop, plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate programs, and curriculum plans for the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the students

  • be punctual to classes, playground duties, assemblies, Chapel services, and staff meetings
  • clearly articulate action to be taken in the case of emergencies
  • participate in staff development days, Outdoor Education Programs, Year Level Information Evenings, Student-led Conferences, Principal’s Welcome Evenings, Excursions, Musical Productions and Co-curricular activities.

Trinity Anglican School is looking for a casual cleaner who displays attention to detail, organisational and time management skills and has a sound understanding of safe cleaning practices.

Duties include cleaning in a school environment and you enjoy working as part of a team, cleaning many and varied areas of a school for example; classrooms, toilets, tuckshop, multipurpose hall, kindergarten areas, windows, emptying bins, carpets, floors, kitchens, drinking troughs.

Learn to Swim Instructor

Learn to Swim Instructor

Trinity Anglican School is looking for Casual Learn to Swim Instructors who enjoy working with children and have a passion for teaching and swimming. The position would start in Term 1, 2022.

Duties include providing water safety lessons including how to self-rescue, teaching students the correct swimming stroke techniques, assisting with pool maintenance and cleaning and other activities as required.

Qualifications, experience and licences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education or a Degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma of Education.
  • Desirable – Post Graduate training in management, administration or other relevant area.
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration.
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Apply the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (AITSL) with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Apply the Art and Science of Teaching (ASOT) by Robert Marzano and Essential Skills of Classroom Management (ESCM) which underpin the school’s pedagogical management approach.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programs at TAS and implement ‘best practice’ curriculum in teaching areas to support the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the students.
  • Promote teaching areas within the school and encourage students to be lifelong learners.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve the aims and objectives of the school and develop cooperative relationships that ensure the smooth operation of the Secondary School.
  • Attend staff, faculty and tutor meetings and professional learning sessions as required.
  • Supervise all indoor and outdoor play areas as well as tutor groups and ensure safe practices.
  • Liaise with and support parents and actively encourage parent involvement.
  • Be punctual to classes, playground duties, assemblies, Chapel services, staff, meetings.
  • Be clear about action to be taken in the case of school emergencies.

School Crossing Supervisor

Casual, Kewarra Beach (commencing Term 1, 2022)
The hours required will be Split shift Monday to Friday ($31.11 per hour):

  • Morning 7.45 am – 8.45 am
  • Relief opportunities are available on your rostered days off.
  • Afternoon 3:00 pm – 3.30 pm
