This week, Trinity Anglican School (TAS) celebrated a significant milestone, being featured in the Commonwealth 75 publication, which was officially launched on Wednesday evening at London’s iconic Westminster Abbey. The publication marks the 75th anniversary of the Commonwealth and highlights the achievements of institutions and organisations from its 56 member countries, showcasing their influence across education, health, the arts, and more.
Published by St. James’s House, the official royal publisher, Commonwealth 75 serves as a reflection of the shared values and accomplishments of Commonwealth nations over the past seven decades. For TAS, this recognition is not only an honour but also a testament to the school’s innovative and forward-thinking approach to education. The publication features TAS’s commitment to fostering global awareness, personal growth, and preparing students for life beyond school.
Principal Paul Sjogren expressed his pride in TAS’ inclusion:
“Being selected for the Commonwealth 75 publication is a tremendous honour for TAS. This recognition highlights our dedication to education, diversity, and innovation. It also reflects our mission to inspire curiosity and nurture students who are prepared to make meaningful contributions on a global scale.”
Representing TAS at the launch was Alana Hales, our Marketing and Admissions Manager, who attended the ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The event was a grand occasion, with dignitaries and representatives from across the Commonwealth gathered to celebrate the diversity and achievements of the 56 member countries.
“This was a proud moment for TAS,” Alana shared. “Standing in Westminster Abbey, surrounded by institutions from all over the Commonwealth, really reinforced how interconnected we are. It’s an honour to be part of something so significant.”
The Commonwealth 75 publication is more than just a beautifully crafted coffee table book; it is also an archival resource, with copies being displayed in Buckingham Palace and preserved for future generations. This inclusion further underscores TAS’ role as a leader in education, both locally and globally, and highlights the school’s commitment to graduating students who are ready to thrive in an interconnected world.
