Educational Leader (Permanent Full time) - White Rock Early Learning Centre

TAS is seeking a qualified Educational Leader who is passionate about creating educational and fun learning experiences for our children at our White Rock Campus. TAS inspires curious learners through nature-based hands-on play and inquiry-based discovery that promotes social, cognitive, physical and emotional development. Trinity Anglican School (TAS) is expanding its Early Learning Centres (ELC) by introducing pre-kindergarten services (age 2-3) across both campuses. The White Rock “pre-kindy” opened in June 2024, adding to the existing kindergarten service.

As the Educational Leader you will be responsible for the development, implementation and reflection of a high quality program based on service values and philosophy in collaboration with the Nominated Supervisor, educators and management. You will enable and mentor educators regarding the implementation of the program with regard to the NQF, NQS and approved learning frameworks across four classes (two kindergarten and two pre-kindergarten) under the guidance of the Nominated Supervisor and the Manager ECEC.

Do you have the following…  

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or similar qualification) or working towards attainment
  • Experience in Early Learning education and care, preferably kindergarten age
  • Experience in programming and
  • Previous Educational Leader experience highly regarded
  • Certificate – CPR (HLTAID009)
  • Certificate – First Aid in an Education Setting (HLTAID012)

 

Are you a team player who can…   

  • lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service that is reflective of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline in consultation with all relevant stakeholders, children, families, educators and management.
  • collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance
  • support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices by building the knowledge, skills and professionalism of educators
  • guide and develop educators’ and families’ understandings about play and leisure-based learning, and the significance of the early years in the education continuum for children.
  • support all educators to meet the goals of the approved learning framework to support children to develop:
    • A strong sense of identity
    • connections with their world
    • strong sense of wellbeing
    • confidence and involvement in their learning; and
    • effective communication skills
  • keep up to date with current trends and issues in Early Childhood Education and Care and share information with the Director/ Nominated Supervisor and educators to support research-based practices within the service; and
  • comply with, maintain and review all service policies and procedures in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations

Trinity Anglican School (TAS) has opened a new state-of-the-art pre-kindergarten facility at its White Rock campus. Construction is currently underway for an additional pre-kindergarten facility at the Kewarra Beach campus, scheduled for completion in the coming months. The inclusion of the pre-kindergarten year to the current ELC prospectus offers children as young as two with the opportunity to complete two years of early learning (pre-kindy and kindy) before transitioning to primary school.
