Pre-Kindy Educators (Full Time) - White Rock and Kewarra Beach

Trinity Anglican School (TAS) is expanding its Early Learning Centres (ELC) by introducing pre-kindergarten services (age 2-3) at its Kewarra Beach and White Rock campuses in 2024, with the White Rock service on track to open in late May.

We are now seeking qualified Lead Educators and Educators who are passionate about creating educational and fun learning experiences for our children at our White Rock Campus. TAS inspires curious learners through nature-based hands-on play and inquiry-based discovery that promotes social, cognitive, physical and emotional development. Available roles:

Lead Educators: The Lead Educator’s role at the ELC involves overseeing program coordination and staff mentoring to create a nurturing environment for young children during their early developmental years. They focus on delivering quality care and supporting the holistic development of each child in their care by implementing the educational program by using an assessment and planning cycle and engaging in critical reflection to improve the program and practice.

Educators: The Educator’s role is to provide a safe, caring environment which fosters and supports the learning and personal development of each child and to contribute to the provision of a quality education program by assisting and supporting the Teacher in the preparation of learning materials, working directly with students, assisting toileting and dressing of students and participating fully in the programs and routines of the Early Learning Centre.

Educational Leader: The Educational Leader is responsible for the development, implementation and reflection of a high quality program based on service values and philosophy in collaboration with the Nominated Supervisor, educators and management. You will inspire and mentor educators regarding the implementation of the program with regard to the NQF, NQS and approved learning frameworks.

Do you have the following…  

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or similar qualification) or working towards attainment, or
  • Looking to start a traineeship in early childhood education
  • Experience in Early Learning education and care, preferably kindergarten age
  • Certificate – CPR (HLTAID009)
  • Certificate – First Aid in an Education Setting (HLTAID012)

Are you a team player who…   

  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing.
  • Has a child friendly and nurturing disposition.
  • Can assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality program, this includes contributing to the QIP.
  • Understands the ‘My Time Our Place’ framework and can apply it.

Trinity Anglican School (TAS) is the leading Independent Anglican school in Far North Qld. With an unrivalled reputation for excellence in FNQ, TAS has a K-12 campus at White Rock and a K-6 campus at Kewarra Beach. Construction is currently underway for two new, state-of-the-art pre-kindergarten services, one for each of TAS’ White Rock and Kewarra Beach campuses. They are scheduled for completion in the coming months to accommodate TAS’ first pre-kindergarten intake planned for May 2024 at our White Rock Campus. The inclusion of the pre-kindergarten year to the current ELC prospectus offers children as young as two with the opportunity to complete two years of early learning (pre-kindy and kindy) before transitioning to primary school.

Tuckshop Assistant (Part time) - White Rock

Trinity Anglican School is seeking a Tuckshop Assistant to assist in preparing and providing meals and snacks for school students at our White Rock campus. This is a part-time role working 7.30am – 2pm Monday to Friday during term time only.

In this role, you will work with TAS team members and volunteers to prepare meals and work in the retail outlet during break times.

Are you a team player who can…   

  • assist in creating and implement a cost effective and healthy nutritious menu plan
  • assist in preparing meals in bulk and in time for school breaks
  • provide exceptional customer service
  • assist to order supplies, manage stock and float
  • maintain safe food handling practices
  • assist with updating menus as required and processing student orders
  • contribute to innovative approaches to provide catering services to the School community
  • comply with WH&S laws and regulations

IT Helpdesk Support (Full Time) - White Rock and Kewarra Beach

  • You are looking for a role where you can demonstrate your customer service skills and technical expertise. You enjoy being the ‘go to’ person; that reliable person everyone knows can help find a solution to their tech problem. Imagining the following scenario makes you smile:

“Why is my computer not working? I know, I’ll go and see <insert your name here>, they are always happy to help!”

  • Your role is to enable students and staff to make the best use of the technology to create an awesome learning experience. TAS is a school which prides itself on being both an innovator and an early adopter.
  • Reporting to the Manager of IT, you will be responsible for providing a professional, customer-centric IT service and facilitate the effective running of IT services across the School.
  • You will use your experience in school or corporate IT teams to maintain, repair, test and ensure on-going operation of computer software, hardware etc for staff and students.

We are seeking someone with:

  • Knowledge of, and intermediate ability to use a variety of software programs including Microsoft operating systems and Office suites, Adobe Suite and the current versions of various web explorers
  • Intermediate knowledge of hardware and configuration of networking peripherals, including a sound understanding of the principles of a networking operating system
  • Intermediate understanding of administering a server operating system
  • Demonstrated ability to advise users in the effective use of Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Word, Excel, Power Point, OneDrive and Adobe)
  • A good understanding of Laptop Computers, Desktop systems and Peripherals with a demonstrated ability to support such systems in an environment where users have varying computing skill levels
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to perform computer and peripheral maintenance and troubleshooting to component level in a safe and effective manner
  • Proven skills in written and oral communication and a capacity to display strong client focus and work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and work at a fast pace
  • Advanced skills using email and Internet
  • ITIL equivalent: Tier 1
  • A sense of humour!

The role will be primarily based at White Rock, but will spend time at the Kewarra Beach campus. Cross-campus travel will be subsidised where applicable.
