TAS Study Programs

TAS offers the Student Visa and Tourist Visa programs at both campuses where students undertake a stimulating and challenging curriculum based on the Australian Curriculum and the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) syllabus.

TAS Student Visa Program

The TAS Student Visa Program encourages students to strive for educational excellence with the aim to maximise their tertiary entrance OP (Overall Position) scores so that the widest range of career options is available to them. TAS offers the program to fully enrolled individual Junior and Senior School students attending TAS on a student visa.

Junior School: Prep to Year 6

Students have their own home room teacher who cares for them. Junior students are introduced to a core curriculum offering English, Mathematics, Sciences and Social Studies. Highly trained specialist teachers guide students in Visual Art, Music, Health and Physical Education, and  Language subjects.

Senior School: Year 7 to Year 12

Students are supported by tutors who assist them in their day to day life at school. Each student belongs to a close knit tutor group and house, that provide a strong sense of belonging and effective peer support networks.

Areas of study on offer cater for the academic needs and interests of all students and include English, Mathematics, the Sciences, the Humanities, the Arts, Languages, and Technical and Commercial Studies.

Tourist Visa Program

The TAS Tourist Visa Program offers Short Stay, Extended and Study Tours for international students who wish to experience and learn about Tropical North Queensland’s culture, establish international friendships and improve their English language skills.

Extended Visiting Students

Students studying for a minimum of six weeks to a maximum of three months, have the opportunity to be immersed in the uniqueness of school life at TAS, to improve their English, make lasting friends, and experience the true Australian culture.

Short Stay Students (Individuals visiting for up to 6 weeks)

Sometimes students want to get a taste of school life in another country while they travel on their own or with their family. This program offers that taste in a supported environment.

Study Tour (Group Bookings up to 100 people)

This is an opportunity to come to school in a group and experience a combination of study and fun. While here, students will see the amazing reef and rainforest in the region.
