Information Technology Technician

$31.77 per hour

Fixed Term Contract – Commencing 13 July 2020 – Concluding 04 September 2020  

White Rock and Kewarra Beach Campus – 38 hours per week

To ensure your suitability to work with students, the following checks will be undertaken as a part of the recruitment process:

  • National Register Screen via the Anglican School’s Commission check
  • Blue Card suitability (ability to acquire or seek exemption) check

Do you have…    

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Information Technology
  • Experience in an IT position preferably in a School environment.
  • Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID001)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID004)

Are you a team player who has…    

  • Knowledge of, and ability to use a variety of software programs including Microfocus, Microsoft operating systems and Office suites, TASS.web, Adobe Suite, Linux and the current versions of various web Explorers.
  • Technical knowledge of hardware and configuration of networking peripherals, including a good understanding of the principles of a networking operating system.
  • Experience with administering a server operating system.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise users in the effective use of Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe and Publisher).
  • A good understanding of Notebook Computers, Desktop systems and Peripherals with a proven ability to support such systems in an environment where users have varying computing skill levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to perform computer and peripheral maintenance and troubleshooting to component level in a safe and effective manner.
  • Proven skills in written and oral communication and a capacity to display strong client focus and work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and work at a fast pace.
  • Advanced skills using email and Internet.

  • order supplies, manage stock and float

  • develop innovative approaches to provide catering services to School community
  • comply with WH&S laws and regulations
