Yourtutor

As you may have heard, the Cairns Library is offering the Yourtutor service free of charge. Unfortunately we are advised that funding for this service will be withdrawn in June, but there is still some time to make use of it. You need to become a member of the Cairns library (there are 8 branches) and membership is free. You will need an adult with you if you are under 18 years of age. Once you are a member, the page is http://lib.cairnslibrary.com.au/libero/WebOpac.cls?VERSION=2&ACTION=DISPLAY&RSN=496693&DATA=CLD&TOKEN=Fu0kotvKv3464&Z=1&SET=1#CatInfo496693 and you can access the service using the URL at the bottom of the entry.

Chess championships (Thur 2/3)

Great to see so many students enjoying the recent Interschool Chess tournament held in The Bishop Centre at TAS. Thanks to teachers David Long and Rob Lade and parents Donna, Kimika and Roxy for running a terrific Canteen on the day. Too many great TAS Chess players!

Interhouse Swim Carnival (Fri 3/3)

What an outstanding day. It was great to watch the passion, the spirit and the efforts of our students. The House spirit needs to be experienced to be believed. Thank you to Ms Natalie Anderson for running such a successful carnival, the Heads of House, and the parent volunteers for their outstanding work.

Kewarra Beach Disco (Fri 3/3)

A great night was had by all at the Kewarra Beach campus disco last Friday night. Plenty of enjoyment, lots of games and dancing. I could see a number of our parents having flashbacks (on the inside) and itching to bust-a-move. Thanks to everyone involved in the set up and running of the evening.

Department of Main Roads – Notification

The Government has advised of changed traffic conditions south of the White Rock campus on Progress Rd. This should have little impact on the traffic flow at our campus.
