Learning. Believing. Achieving – Welcome to 2018

Welcome back to our TAS community. I hope that you have had a wonderful break and are looking forward to a terrific 2018. Staff have been working hard in the lead up to the school year to provide an excellent academic, pastoral and co-curricular program for our students.

We welcome Mr Peter Gazzola as Head of Junior School, White Rock for 2018. Peter has really enjoyed meeting with the staff and is looking forward to meeting and chatting with the TAS, White Rock community in the coming weeks.

I have been reading quite a bit over the holidays regarding strategies to improve the effectiveness of  pedagogy and teaching programs. There is quite a bit of evidence out there regarding the most effective ways of promoting optimum student learning and I will elaborate further on this in my first Newsletter article.

Student Leaders Excel

TAS Secondary student leaders had a terrific leadership seminar on Monday 22 January.  The students undertook a number of activities to help them develop their leadership skills. They are a very impressive group of young men and women and I am certain they will lead the school with aplomb through 2018.
