Fathers Day at KBJ ELC
What a wonderful afternoon at KBJ Kindy. Our dads were involved in lots of activities in the Kindy playground, including pretend shaving some of the Dads. The general feedback was that some of the Dads (and the Principal) were a bit prickly! Thanks to Ms Vani Woods and the ELC staff for organising a terrific afternoon.
Fathers Day at WRJ
A most enjoyable Father’s Day breakfast was had by all at WRJ last Friday. Thanks to the Parent Community Group and Ms Imelda Spence for organising the food and the “boys toys”.
WR Kindy Science evening
Dads and kids had a lot of fun last Friday evening at the WR Kindy Science evening. There were lots of activities and some very appetising food. Volcanoes spewing different coloured lava were a highlight. Thanks to Gill, the WR Kindy staff and the terrific Dads.
Spelling Sensation
An outstanding achievement by Shivansh Pandey in Year 3 at WRJ who received the top score in Spelling in the recent NAPLAN assessments. Shivansh scored 624, a truly remarkable achievement.
Rugby Success
Great to see our Rugby team win their 3rd vs 4th Final on Wednesday evening. The team, made up of students from TAS and PLC, beat Trinity Bay State high School to finish third in the Cairns U18 Schoolboy Rugby competition. Well done to the players and supercoach, Mr Andrew Saunders, on a terrific season.
Class of ’87 Reunion
It was a great night hosting students from the class of ’87 last Friday evening. Lots of laughter and good cheer as we toured the school and had drinks on the top of the STEM building. Many of these past students hadn’t been back at TAS for 30 years!
