Learning Support Teacher Aide (Part Time) - White Rock

The Learning Support Teacher Aide assists the Teachers as required in their role, as guided by the Learning Support Teacher. You will be responsible for implementing the School’s academic support programs as directed by the Deputy Principal in consultation with the team of Teachers, health and allied health professionals, advisory visiting teachers, students and parents.

You will be working with a dedicated team of professionals whose focus and drive is providing the best opportunity for learning for all students in the classroom. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who enjoys watching others thrive as a result of their support.

Do you have: 

  • CERT III in Education Support, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (experience in Secondary support preferred)
  • Prior experience in or the ability to provide Learning Support in numeracy is an advantage
  • Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) or Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012) (Desirable)
  • Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (HLTAID009) (Desirable)

Are you a team member who can: 

Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Learning Support Teacher and:

  • Assist teachers in the implementation of individual and small group support programs for students
  • Demonstrate compassion and kindness in assisting students who are facing academic challenges
  • Assist teachers with pastoral care of students
  • Monitor students’ performance and report information to class Teacher or Learning Support Teacher
  • Assist Learning Support Teacher in the preparation and updating of student files and result records
  • Produce displays and resources as required
  • Undertake routine tasks, e.g. preparation of resources, care and storage of stock, photocopying, etc
  • Liaise with volunteers who help with classroom activities under the guidance of the Learning Support Teacher and class Teacher
  • Assist with the testing of students under the direction of the Learning Support Teacher and class Teacher
  • Attend excursions and specialist lessons for verified students as required

School Chaplain (Full Time) - White Rock and Kewarra Beach

Trinity Anglican School – 2 campuses, White Rock and Kewarra Beach

The School Chaplain has a vital role in nurturing and sustaining the Christian and values-based ethos of the School, in an inclusive, multi-faith community. They are responsible for providing support for school students and the wider school community in a range of ways, such as assisting students in exploring their spirituality; providing guidance on religious, values and ethical matters; and helping school counsellors and staff in offering welfare services and support in the case of bereavement, family breakdown or other crisis and loss situations. This also includes preparing and running Chapel services and assisting with classroom faith exploration and instruction.

The Chaplain role is to support students and staff to create an environment of cooperation and respect, whilst promoting an understanding of diversity within the range of religious affiliations and their traditions, and work with parents/carers at all times respecting their rights to ensure the religious and moral education of their children is in alignment with their own convictions.

The successful applicant

You will have experience and suitable qualifications in Chaplaincy or Youth Ministry, and preferably an Ordained Minister of the Anglican Church.

You will also:

  • be youth focussed and have experience working with youth and families
  • have experience working with students to create a positive and inclusive culture
  • demonstrate professionalism in dealing with sensitive student and parent matters
  • be able to demonstrate comprehensive working knowledge of appropriate referral pathways

Teacher Aide (Part Time) - White Rock Campus

Trinity Anglican School is seeking a passionate, organised and supportive Teacher Aide to join our team at the White Rock Primary Campus. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and adaptable Teacher Aide to work with our experienced team in a vibrant co-educational environment.

Your role as Teacher Aide is to assist the classroom Teacher and support student learning and wellbeing. Your day will be varied as you switch from working with students supporting learning activities, to assisting with organising activities, to yard duty, and preparation of resources, all under the guidance and direction of the classroom Teacher.

This role will suit someone who is flexible to work across primary school age groups, and an excellent team player who can work under the direction of different classroom teachers.
